650B wheelsets for adventure / gravel bikes running higher volume tyres – direct, light, strong and compliant.
Our unidirectional Toray T700 carbon rims are asymmetric to give even spoke tensions on each side of the wheel. They have 24mm internal width and 25mm depth, optimised for 42-55mm tyres (42C – 55C). Constructed for optimal vertical compliance and vibration absortion giving an unrivalled smooth silent ride while maintaining the advantages of lateral stiffness carbon rims excel at.

With Bitex CL hubs: Alloy nipples + CX Ray: 1390g; Alloy nipples + Sapim Race: 1480g; Brass nipples + CX Ray: 1430g; Brass nipples + Sapim Race: 1520g;
With Hope Pro5 CL hubs: add 35g to Bitex wheelset weights
We always recommend brass nipples rather than alloy as these give the wheels increased strength, serviceability and longevity. Most lightweight wheel builders will use alloy nipples as an easy and cheap way of making their wheelsets lighter. For these BF30/24 wheelsets you can choose your preferred nipple material when ordering. Alloy to save approx 20g per wheel, or brass to know your nipples will never seize or break.
Until you have ridden with carbon wheels you cannot appreciate the huge advantages in handing and ride quality they offer. Stiffer rims improves steering accuracy, tracking and speed while the vibration absorbing properties of carbon smooth out your ride and your bike will ride noticeably quieter.

Fantastic wheels. I’m a mountain biker first so can’t resist taking my gravel bike down things it probably wasn’t designed for (half the fun for me) and these wheels take it all in their stride.
