These are our most popular wheels and how we started out. With a 35mm external and 30mm internal width, they hit the sweet spot between getting the perfect tyre profile for maximum grip with a 2.4 tyre, incredible lateral stiffness and extreme toughness on a wheel that weighs similar to your average lightweight XC alloy wheel – around 1760g per wheelset for a 27.5 wheelset with CX Ray spokes.

Approx wheelset weights:

27.5 CX Ray: 1760g;      27.5 DT Comp: 1830g;       29er CX Ray: 1840g        29er DT Comp: 1925g

Rims have a hookless bead inner profile. They are constructed from unidirectional Toray T700 carbon with a choice of standard UD or our unique kevlar carbon weave outer skin for even more impact resistance and that stand out look. Like all of our wheels, they are built on Hope Pro 4 hubs in your choice of colour and available in all sizes including Boost and with either freehub arrangement. Rim graphics are our white and blue as standard but you can choose any combination of colours to match your hubs and bike.

Standard wheels are built with DT Swiss Competition double butted spokes or you can upgrade to Sapim CX Ray spokes for an approx. 85g per wheelset weight saving and even more strength and durability.

Hope SP (straight pull) hubs are an option if you choose the Sapim spokes but these are not available on boost hubs. The main advantage of the SP hubs / spokes is the improved look. The weight and characteristics of the wheels are virtually unaffected.

Wheelset prices start at £679 for UD carbon rims and DT Swiss Competition spokes with the following upgrades available:

Kevlar Carbon rims – adds £20

Sapim CX Ray spokes – adds £100

Straight Pull Hubs / spokes – adds £36 (only available with CX Ray upgrade and NOT on Boost hubs)

Prices include free UK delivery and we deliver to most other European countries for a small extra cost.

So I received these wheels a couple weeks ago and I’ve used them a handful of times. What can I say…. straight out the box they look superb, the matte finish on orange pro 4’s is striking yet subtle. Built up with hans dampf tyres they ride very well. They’ve been used in wet, muddy conditions and they are faultless. They track better, they feel stiffer yet more forgiving and the 35mm rims are properly wide. Next up the price, £679 is a steal, do it! My only regret is not getting the more expensive Sapim spokes (some you win and all that)…. Lastly I saved over 250grams in weight coming from Pro 2’s/ E13 TRS combo

I purchased a set of these wheels October 2016 with the kevlar carbon finish, straight pull hubs and Sapim spokes and love them! I have ridden them over much of the UK already and have a trip to the Alps this July to really put them to the test. They look the business with the striking kevlar/carbon finish. They have been very reliable and are still 100% true. I am running with approx. 23psi up front and 25psi at the back, which is providing so much grip on 2.3″ Maxxis High Rollers. The service provided by Stuart is brilliant, he will try to colour match the graphics to your bike. I actually changed my order at the very last moment for a different colour after already making my payment and stuart kindly changed the order for me.
I Stumbled on this site when I was looking for carbon wheels and have no regrets at all and very glad to have found it. If you’re reading this you’re probably thinking about getting a set. I would recommend these wheels all day long. Go for it.

Nothing but praise for the wheels and service! They are so direct and responsive due to the weight. I doubt anyone will find a better set of wheels in a package like this Ever! (Service, Hope Hubs, Wide Carbon Rims, Hand built, Warranty… ..) what’s not to like?! Many thanks, happy customer 6 months rolling on!

So, I’ve been running these for about 3 months now having abused a set of Spank Oozy 295’s on Hope hubs to death, not a wheel set to be sniffed at, super light and strong.
I did a lot of shopping around for a UK carbon wheel build after getting over my carbon rim phobia and found Blueflow to be the best of the bunch even with a Hope Pro 4 build.
After a lot of faffin about I decided to go for the carbon-kevlar build which, by god, when you first pull them out the box are stunning!

Coming from aluminium rims to carbon the difference is very noticeable. The wheels are definitely stiffer and lighter. In the last month and a half I have been riding Steel City and Wharncover (Sheffield) far more aggressively. Cornering harder and the bike is more playful in the air. I have hung these up on a 14ft gap jump without there being a mark on the rear rim and it surprised me by staying true despite taking a pretty hard hit.

Right now I’d say unless you are pro or have just won the lotto, you can’t justify the cost of a pair of ENVE against a set of these and that’s coming from someone who’s very fickle about what goes on my mini downhill ride.

The service I have had from Stuart at Blueflow has been amazing. Answering all my queries honestly and informativily, even when I asked him to step slightly outside the standard build.
Looking forward to riding these down the red and black runs in Morzine later this year…right now, if you are looking for a carbon wheel-set that isn’t the ridiculous cost of ENVE I highly recommend these.

Top quality set of wheels look amazing and stiffer than roval wheels they replaced , have improved the handling on my stumpjumper. Highly recommended great price they look amazing and top quality customer service . If your looking for new wheels I would highly recommend Blueflow for quality and price they cannot be beaten

The best rims I could have put on my Orange Segment – love the bike, but it is made all the better with the Carbon / Kevlar rims. I am not the lightest man in the world I don’t think I am the slowest. I have been using these wheels for nearly 2 years they are hardly marked. I live in the Yorkshire Dales area so plenty of rocks never a problem. Would recommend them, and have done to anybody

Really pleased with the quality and performance of the Blue Flow wheels on my Santa Cruz Solo. They are very stiff and the bike seems to to climb and accelerate much better as well as looking amazing, they really finish off the bike to a high standard. The bike is used for trail centre riding, mainly Black Route work

I can’t praise these wheels highly enough. I’ve owned them for over a year now and bought them to replace the original wheels on my YT Capra. I went for carbon because I wanted lighter wheels and I loved the look of the kevlar but I didn’t realise how different they would feel. Faster, more reactive and surprisingly much quieter running and less harsh than previous alloy rims. I haven’t treated them gently and they do have some scratches and scuffs but they are still totally true and I haven’t had to touch the spokes in over a year of riding. Great service from Stuart. I don’t think I will ever need to buy another set of wheels again but I would definitely buy these if I did

I couldn’t be happier with my choice to go with Blue Flow Wheels, I did a lot of research on wheels to put on my enduro bike this year and ended giving blue flow a call. Right from the ordering process I was happy as you are dealing with the guys that are actually going to build your wheels, they turned up when they said they would, built how I wanted and ready to go. As for the wheels performance they have been great, tubeless seated first time with no leakage and every run from bike park wales to Alpe D’huez they have been great

  10. 5 out of 5

We had a great experience with the Blue Flow kevlar carbon wheels. Wide rims offer a lot of advantages in terms of grip and traction and using carbon keeps the weight of wider rims to a good level. The wheels were very easy to get tyres onto and set-up tubeless. The wheelset was stiff horizontally for accurate tracking but compliant enough vertically to take away some of the trail harshness….

I was in the market for a set of Carbon wheels, And didn’t want to pay Enve prices. I came across the Blue Flow website, and read an online review that looked promising. So I sent an email enquiring about a custom set of wheels. Stuart was very quick to reply, he seemed very friendly and sounded like he knew what he was talking about. So after a bit of advice from Stuart, I decided to go ahead and order a set. I went with the Kevlar Carbon for extra protection, Straight pull Sapim CX Ray spokes just to shed as much weight as possible and the great Hope Pro 4 hubs. I supplied Stuart with my weight and riding style etc, so the wheels could be built to my individual specs. I love this sort of level of detail. A few weeks later and my new wheels arrived. They looked every bit as good as I hoped they would. The tubeless Stans tape was already fitted, this was also my first time going tubeless. I had a couple of initial setup issues, mainly down to the tyres rather than the wheels. But Stuart was always quick to respond to emails if I had a question. Fully set-up the wheels were a fair bit lighter than my previous Stans Arch EX. Out on the trails they handle great. Everyone always says that Carbon is a harsher ride than alloy. I personally found them to be a bit more forgiving. I’ve been running them now for a number of months and they are still arrow straight and performing great. My local trails can be a bit hard on gear. And I’ve just come back from riding the Gap route in Brecon. The descent is pretty harsh with some large rocks, the wheels handled it with ease. They have taken a few knocks and now have a few scrapes, but they are MTB wheels and designed to be ridden. Overall a great set of custom built wheels. And the customer service I experienced was top notch! Highly recommended!

These wheels haven’t put a foot wrong, and just as importantly the back up and responsiveness from Stuart at Blueflow when I’ve had stupid questions has been great.

I’ve had the wheels for around 6 months, and though I haven’t ridden them as much as I would like, they have had a fair old bashing from the unskillful/heavy me at uplift venues such as Antur Stiniog and Bike Park Wales with barely a mark on them.

Light, strong, look amazing, built superbly, UK support and better value than any other carbon wheelset I’ve come across – what more could you want!

Done 5 runs at fort bill on the 29 enduro set plus Lagan and Golspie I’m 14 stone ,wheels are still as true as when I fitted them, really noticed how stiff they are compared to my alloy wheels great wheels great service and you get to talk to the guy that builds them ,how cool is that !

Quick update after a few months riding these wheels. They have been SEVERELY tested, 2 enduros, countless rock gardens, and are still 100% true, spoke tension is unchanged, hubs perfect, a few rock strikes and scuffs but you’d expect that. If you want a bomproof, well priced carbon wheelset, look no further. They really are a superb wheelset, thanks again!

So, have had these wheels a few months now and they have been absolutely flawless so far. They arrived perfectly true and have stayed that way since, haven’t had to touch them once. They quality of the rims and the build is top notch, the hubs being Hope means they are very reliable and easily serviceable when needed. These are a brilliant set of strong, wide, reliable carbon wheels at a fantastic price and the service from Stuart during the ordering process was first class.

After owning these wheels for 8 months on my 650b trail bike it was a no brainer to buy them for my new 29er.
The 35mm all mountain wheels have remained solid throughout some very hard riding. Stuart is fantastic to deal with, even got my 29er set built up and sent out within 3 days for a race I had that weekend..Excellent reliability, value and service.. Thanks…
